Help Preserve Texas History; One Story at a Time.

What is LoneStar Heritage?
LoneStar Heritage Foundation seeks to preserve, interpret and promote little known, soon to be lost tales of historic sites and stories that shaped the great state of Texas.
2026 INITIATIVES—
LoneStar Trail: Our inaugural LoneStar Trail begins in Gillespie County. The LoneStar Heritage Foundation is currently working with heritage museums, history oriented centers, clubs and individuals in Fredericksburg and surrounding areas to assist them in the common goal of supporting and promoting the rich culture and history of Texas.
Does your organization, club or family legacy have a story to tell or a site that you would like to share before the details get lost to time? We hope to engage young and old alike. Come along on this journey with us!
Friends of Fort Martin Scott: The Foundation has been an essential force behind the effort to have the THC encompass the former Texas Ranger Center along with Fort Martin Scott. Now that this unified management is a reality, LoneStar is taking the next logical step: building the volunteer engine that will power it. By helping form the "Friends Group," LoneStar is securing a dedicated volunteer group for those who want to roll up their sleeves. This is a proud moment for our Foundation—we saw a need for a permanent, site-specific support organization, and we are making it happen.
